Department of Physics

The Physics Department of Lorestan University initially commenced its activities as a branch of Jundishapur University of Ahvaz in 1977. After admitting students for four consecutive periods, it was temporarily suspended. Subsequently, it resumed its activities in September 1993 and currently admits students at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. At the Master's level, students are admitted in the field of Nanophysics, and the specializations of Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics, Optics and Laser Physics, Particle Physics and Field Theory, and Astronomy and Astrophysics. At the Doctoral level, students are admitted in three specializations: Condensed Matter Physics, Optics and Laser Physics, and Particle Physics and Field Theory.
